Our J-1 Program
You may notice some interesting accents while at the Franklin Spa. We employ workers from around the globe as a part of the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA Program.

The J-1 Visa is a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State that allows students from around the world to travel & work in the United States for several months.
Participants travel on their own dime to popular US cities (such as Newport) to help augment staffing & gain US cultural experiences.

We sponsor students from around the world to come work at the Franklin for the summer. This helps us augment summer staffing levels without having to worry about off-season staffing going down.
We seek to bring in a diverse group of students to interact with the guests of the Franklin Spa.
We encourage you to chat with all of our employees about their background & home countries.
Every summer, we provide multiple cultural experiences for the entire team - from amusment park outings, to soccer games, to popular US city trips.

We accept applications for J-1 students starting in the winter of the season leading up to the summer. Applications will be accepted all the way up until the start of summer.

Note: we only offer primary sponsorship/employment. We do not currently have positions for second jobs once you arrive in the United States - we must be your primary job.
